Privacy
What Yenzit stores, why, and how to get it back or get rid of it.
What we store
- Your account. The name, email address and profile picture your Google account gives us when you sign in. Google Sign-In is the only way in, so we never see or store a password.
- What you type. The people you add, their interests, sizes and notes, the occasions you track, and the gifts you record. This is yours; we do not sell it, rent it, or use it to build advertising profiles.
- Your settings. Reminder timing, email opt-in and time zone.
- Outbound referrals. When you follow a link to a retailer we record which item, which surface it came from, and when. We store a one-way hash of your browser's user-agent string and no IP address. These rows are deleted automatically after 13 months.
What we never store
- Payment details of any kind. Yenzit has no cart, no checkout and no payment code path.
- Shipping or delivery addresses. Yenzit helps you decide; you buy at the retailer.
- Anything about the people you add beyond what you type yourself.
Who else is involved
- Google Cloud and Firebase host the application, the database and sign-in.
- Anthropic generates gift ideas. We send the recipient's relationship, interests, budget band and occasion — never their name — plus the catalogue entries we have already selected. Your data is not used to train models.
- Resend delivers reminder emails. Reminder emails link only to Yenzit.
- Retailers see an ordinary visit when you follow a link. What they collect is covered by their own policies.
How long we keep it
Your account and everything in it stays until you delete it. Generated gift ideas are cached for 45 days. Outbound referral rows expire after 13 months. Deleting your account removes your profile, recipients, occasions, gift history, cached gift ideas and pending reminders.
Your data, on demand
Settings has a one-click export of everything you have typed, and account deletion. Neither needs to go through us.
